Treating a column as categorical data

If a column can take only a few discrete values, treating it as a category column can assist with analysis. In the Summary view, category columns can be used to tabulate and filter data; in the Model view, each value of a category column will be given its own coefficient.

To treat a column as categories:

1. In the Summary view, select the column you wish to treat as categories
2. Choose Column > Treat Column Data As > Categories
