Viewing the estimated population of a category column broken down by values of another column

Proportion bars provide a compact visual summary of a category column’s distribution. Similar to the Estimated Population pie chart, the colored areas represent the lower bounds of multinomial confidence intervals, and the white areas represent statistical uncertainty.

To view the estimated population of a category column broken down by the values of another column:

  1. In the Summary view, select the category column whose estimated population you wish to view
  2. In the Covariate table, select the column whose categories or quantiles you wish to group by
  3. One or more proportion bars will appear in the covariate view
