Performing a chi-square test of two or more category columns’ distributions

A chi-square test indicates whether the distribution of values appears to differ across two or more category columns.

To perform an chi-square test on the distribution of category values:

  1. In the Summary view, use the confidence slider to choose a desired confidence level
  2. Command-click two or more category columns of interest on the left
  3. The result of the chi-square test will appear in the Bottom Line

Note that the test will only be performed if the selected columns take on the same set of values, and have the same category labels (if any).
