Performing an unpaired t-test of two numeric columns’ means

A two-sample t-test indicates whether the means of two numeric columns appear to differ. It is equivalent to an ANOVA test, which is a generalization of the two-sample t-test to more than two categories.

To perform a two-sample t-test:

  1. In the Summary view, use the confidence slider to choose a desired confidence level
  2. Command-click two numeric columns of interest on the left
  3. Click the button labeled t-test below the Covariate view
  4. The result of the two-sample t-test will appear in the Bottom Line
