About predictions

Predictions report the expected value of an outcome variable given specific values of a model’s explanatory variables. If the outcome is a category or indicator column, the prediction reports a percent chance that a given value will be taken (for example “10% chance that the grade is B+”). Otherwise, the prediction will report a specific predicted value (for example, 88.5). The prediction can also report a prediction interval, a range of values between which a specified percentage of observations are expected to fall.

Predictions are objects in the Wizard document that can be arranged and deleted in the Predictions organizer. Changing the underlying model of a prediction will automatically update the prediction accordingly.
